Holy Priest Healing Sanctum of Domination Raid Guide — Dragonflight 10.2.5
On this page, you will find tips, tricks, and strategies tailored to your Holy Priest for each boss of the following raid: Sanctum of Domination. All our content is updated for World of Warcraft — Dragonflight 10.2.5.
Introduction
For the Holy Priest Boss Advice we got together with Shelanne, moderator for Warcraft Priests and author of their popular Holy Priest guide.
This page assumes that you already understand most of the mechanics of each encounter. These can be found on the full Sanctum of Domination raid guide, so what is contained here are details specifically tailored toward Holy Priest and what you can do to deal with each fight as best as possible.
During the Dragonflight Pre-Patch, Castle Nathria, Sanctum of Domination, and Sepulcher of the First Ones will be simultaneously featured as Fated Raids. During this time encounters within each specific raid will include an additional mechanic and items will drop at increased item levels. If you would like to learn more general information about the Fated Raids system as a whole, please see our overview below. Otherwise, continue to use this page for specialization-specific tips.
Talent Cheatsheet
You can easily import the talent tree below into the game with the following string:

The above recommendations all presume you are using the recommended Legendary Flash Concentration..
The Tarragrue
We advise you to use the following Legendary against The Tarragrue: Flash Concentration.
Healers play more of a support role than is typical on most raid encounters. You will be using Purify and Mass Dispel to help clear Predator's Howl. Care should be taken to focus triage on targets affected by Grasp of Death.
For Anima Power choices, focus on stat-boosting powers to increase your own healing, or some of the utility effects like Soulward Clasp to increase your raid damage.
For more information, please refer to our The Tarragrue guide.
The Eye of the Jailer
We advise you to use the following Legendary against The Eye of the Jailer: Flash Concentration.
Slothful Corruption is a magical debuff we should remove with Purify and Mass Dispel. A small amount of targeted triage healing will be required on targets afflicted with Spreading Misery while most of the raid damage from Titanic Death Gaze can be healed up with Divine Hymn and Holy Word: Salvation.
Symbol of Hope can be coordinated with your raid group to help as many people as possible have damage reduction defensive abilities ready to help survive Immediate Extermination.
For more information, please refer to our The Eye of the Jailer guide.
The Nine
We advise you to use the following Legendary against The Nine: Flash Concentration.
Coordination with your group and co-healers is required to dispel Fragments of Destiny with Purify and Mass Dispel so the debuffs jump to the correct raid member.
You may be required to use Guardian Spirit on targets chosen by Arthura's Crushing Gaze to help them survive soaking it solo. This occurs in some strategies during dangerous overlaps of multiple boss abilities at once.
The best opportunity for good usage of Divine Hymn and Holy Word: Salvation is during Song of Dissolution.
For more information, please refer to our The Nine guide.
Remnant of Ner'zhul
We advise you to use the following Legendary against Remnant of Ner'zhul: Flash Concentration.
Players affected by Malevolence will be knocked back when dispelled with Purify and Mass Dispel. You should coordinate with your raid team to be knocked back at the appropriate time for your chosen strategy. The best opportunity for good usage of Divine Hymn and Holy Word: Salvation is right after Shatter.
For more information, please refer to our Remnant of Ner'zhul guide.
Soulrender Dormazain
We advise you to use the following Legendary against Soulrender Dormazain: Flash Concentration.
The best opportunity for good usage of Divine Hymn and Holy Word: Salvation is right after Warmonger Shackles are broken.
More tips will be added after more testing is done on live servers.
For more information, please refer to our Soulrender Dormazain guide.
Painsmith Raznal
We advise you to use the following Legendary against Painsmith Raznal: Flash Concentration.
Due to the potentially heavy movement on this boss, try to focus on learning good positioning to help dodge traps quickly without spending too much time walking around. Good usage of Angelic Feather is crucial to avoiding traps and quickly returning to healing.
Periodically throughout the fight, Raznal will throw weapons at the tank in a similar fashion to the Glyph of Destruction explosion on Artificer Xy'Mox from Castle Nathria. This AoE damage is a great time to use Divine Hymn or Holy Word: Salvation.
On Heroic and Mythic difficulties, the damage from Flameclasp Eruption caused when the traps get triggered are an ideal time for Divine Hymn or Holy Word: Salvation as the raid damage is extensive and over a number of seconds for each set of traps.
For more information, please refer to our Painsmith Raznal guide.
Guardian of the First Ones
We advise you to use the following Legendary against Guardian of the First Ones: Flash Concentration.
This boss has a tight enrage timer meaning you will need to squeeze out more damage than you would on an ordinary encounter. Using plenty of Smite and Shadow Word: Pain when there is little healing to do is ideal, and if you find yourself with excess Mana, casting some Holy Fire.
The periodic casts of Purging Protocol are ideal times for Divine Hymn or Holy Word: Salvation. Using Symbol of Hope later in the fight will help DPS have their personal cooldowns to counter the increasing Purging Protocol damage as the fight goes on.
For more information, please refer to our Guardian of the First Ones guide.
Fatescribe Roh-Kalo
We advise you to use the following Legendary against Fatescribe Roh-Kalo: Flash Concentration.
Triage healing should be focused on targets afflicted with Call of Eternity. Guardian Angel is a particularly good talent to use to regularly increase the healing or even save a Call of Eternity target.
Divine Hymn or Holy Word: Salvation can either be used to help catch up on healing during Phase 2, or after Invoke Destiny hits the whole raid.
For more information, please refer to our Fatescribe Roh-Kalo guide.
Kel'Thuzad
We advise you to use the following Legendary against Kel'Thuzad: Flash Concentration.
Purify and (more likely) Mass Dispel should be coordinated with your healing team to help remove Frozen Binds from allies. The damage ramps up as the fight goes on so try to have Divine Hymn and Holy Word: Salvation later on in the fight. Symbol of Hope is also great to help restore the personal defensives of the raid for quicker use later in the fight.
For more information, please refer to our Kel'Thuzad guide.
Sylvanas Windrunner
We advise you to use the following Legendary against Sylvanas Windrunner: Flash Concentration.
To top of a tier of bosses with mechanics to dispel: more dispelling! Coordinating removal of Crushing Dread through Purify and Mass Dispel with your healing team will be vital to managing the damage the debuff generates without killing people.
Triage healing should be prioritised on targets with Veil of Darkness to remove the healing absorb, and is also required on targets of Shadow Dagger. Divine Hymn or Holy Word: Salvation can be used to recover from the raid-wide damage of Wailing Arrow.
For more information, please refer to our Sylvanas Windrunner guide.
