Jewelcrafting Guide for Midnight
This page covers the most important aspects of Jewelcrafting in Midnight, including talent builds and suggestions on how to make gold with the profession.
Jewelcrafting in Midnight
Jewelcrafting makes rings, including Embellished items like
Loa Worshiper's Band,
amulets, such as the
Thalassian Phoenix Torque, reagents like
Sunglass Vial,
profession accessories, such as
Attuned Thalassian Rune-Prism, gems such
as
Flawless Versatile Garnet, and House Decor.
They also Prospect Mining ores for most of their uncut gems,
which also provides
Duskshrouded Stone and
Crystalline Glass reagents
as common byproducts.
Finally, they can Crush uncut gems to obtain
Crushed Gemstones,
which are an essential component of many Jewelcrafting crafts.
Best Race for Jewelcrafting in Midnight
There are no Horde races with Jewelcrafting bonuses, but Alliance players can be Draenei for +5 skill points or Kul'Tiran for +2 skill points.
Best Crafting Stats for Jewelcrafting in Midnight
Jewelcrafting can make great use of all four stats, but you might want to focus on specific stats with different Jewelcrafting specializations. We go into detail with Jewelcrafting stats and the gear you can use to boost them in the specialized guide below:
Leveling Jewelcrafting in Midnight
In order to be efficient, we recommend trying to get as many first-craft bonuses while leveling Jewelcrafting as possible, but the specific items to aim for while leveling depend on your server's material costs and current sale price for whatever you are crafting.
Jewelcrafting Knowledge in Midnight
You will be able to track all weekly and one-time sources of profession knowledge with Myu's Knowledge Points Tracker, which has been converted to an addon in Midnight!
There are also eight treasures around the world that you can loot to gain up to 24 extra knowledge. You can find them all easily in-game with the aforementioned addon.
Best Jewelcrafting Specializations and Talents in Midnight
One of your top gold making options is gem cutting with a heavy investment into the Glamorous Gems tree and its many sub-nodes. Green gems primarily give Haste, Purple gems primarily give Mastery, Red gems primarily give Crit, and Blue gems primarily give Versatility, allowing you to fine tune which gem stats to focus on while navigating through the tree.
Gems are good targets for Concentration builds, especially now that you can get a 100% refund when Inspiration procs through the Thoughtful Throughput tree and its Calculated Concentration sub-node. The other nodes on this tree grant massive stat bonuses and improvements to your general efficiency as well.
Alternatively, the Alluring Accessories tree focuses on gear crafting, with sub-nodes focused on amulets, rings, and profession accessories.
Finally, to improve your skill and efficiency at Prospecting, Crushing, and crafting (optional) reagents, invest into the Proficient Processor tree and its sub-nodes.
Making Gold with Jewelcrafting in Midnight
Ideally, Jewelcrafting allows you to convert cheap ores into expensive gems and other reagents, or endgame gear. Due to the commodity nature of reagents and gems, it is very likely that the market will quickly get loaded with crafts that are only marginally more expensive than the materials used to create them.
Until you fully max out skill, gear, and knowledge for your desired crafts, you will be reliant on Concentration to get maximum ranks out, which can quickly be exhausted every day, so make sure to create some alts to increase your production cap while it is still very profitable to do so! Even later on those can still be useful as they will be able to create maximum rank items more cheaply than the guaranteed method, which requires full maximum Rank reagents.
Gear crafting is expected to hold out for longer, but the epic crafts will require you to find customers willing to tip well.
We have a specialized guide for Midnight gold-making below, which contains a gold-making tier list and goes deeper into techniques and habits for successful gold making, as well as websites and addons that can help you on your journey!
