Marksmanship Hunter DPS Sanctum of Domination Raid Guide — Dragonflight 10.2.5
On this page, you will find tips, tricks, and strategies tailored to your Marksmanship Hunter for each boss of the following raid: Sanctum of Domination. All our content is updated for World of Warcraft — Dragonflight 10.2.5.
Introduction
On this page, you will find Marksmanship Hunter specific information to deal with each boss in the Sanctum of Domination raid.
This page assumes that you already understand most of the mechanics of each encounter. These can be found on the full raid guide, so what is contained here are details specifically tailored toward Marksmanship Hunter and what you can do to deal with each fight as best as possible.
You should be playing Kyrian with Forgelite Prime Mikanikos on all fights except where otherwise noted.
During the Dragonflight Pre-Patch, Castle Nathria, Sanctum of Domination, and Sepulcher of the First Ones will be simultaneously featured as Fated Raids. During this time encounters within each specific raid will include an additional mechanic and items will drop at increased item levels. If you would like to learn more general information about the Fated Raids system as a whole, please see our overview below. Otherwise, continue to use this page for specialization-specific tips.
Best Talents for Raiding for Marksmanship Hunter
Below is the most commonly used build in the Sanctum of Domination. Scroll down to individual bosses to see any changes to the build that are specific to that boss.
You can easily import the talent tree below into the game with the following string:
- B4PAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA4AgWAggAAAAAARCRSCiQEJlQaABhmQSSIhgGAAAAA
Note that if a fight has the Chaotic Essence Fated Affix active, you should always swap to the AoE/Mythic+ Build that is referred to throughout this page.
The Tarragrue
We advise you to use the following Legendary against The Tarragrue: Surging Shots.
You should choose the Anima Powers on the trash before the boss according to the following ranking system:
- Twisted Samophlange
- Potent Acid Gland
- Huddled Carvings (Stand Close to Others)
- Elethium Weights
- Erratic Howler (Melee Range)
- Tremorbeast Heart
- V'lara's Cape of Subterfuge
- Pulsing Rot-hive/ Blade of the Lifetaker
- Secondary Stat Powers
- Overgrowth Seedling
- Elethium Diffuser
- Never Take Lumbering Form or Ten of Towers.
For more information, please refer to our The Tarragrue guide.
The Eye of the Jailer
We advise you to use the following Legendary against The Eye of the Jailer: Surging Shots.
Using Feign Death after the Dragging Chains have been applied to you, and you are being dragged will instantly break the Chain.
For more information, please refer to our The Eye of the Jailer guide.
The Nine
We advise you to use the following Legendary against The Nine: Surging Shots.
Feign Death can be used to completely negate Arthura's Crushing Gaze, preventing the raid from having to soak it. Simply use it once you notice the mechanic is on you, and stay Feigned until it disappears.
There is not much to say about this fight for Hunters specifically.
For more information, please refer to our The Nine guide.
Remnant of Ner'zhul
We advise you to use the following Legendary against Remnant of Ner'zhul: Surging Shots.
- You can precast Aimed Shot on Orbs when the boss is casting Suffering, to ensure that you snipe Careful Aim on them.
- You can Aspect of the Turtle to negate the knockback if required. You can also use Disengage as a more stylish option.
For more information, please refer to our Remnant of Ner'zhul guide.
Soulrender Dormazain
We advise you to use the following Legendary against Soulrender Dormazain: Surging Shots.
Talent Changes
Swap to the AoE/Mythic+ Build for this boss, found on our Talent Page.
Do not use your cooldowns off the pull, but save them for the adds that spawn around 35 seconds in. Save them for adds going forward as well.
For more information, please refer to our Soulrender Dormazain guide.
Painsmith Raznal
We advise you to use the following Legendary against Painsmith Raznal: Surging Shots.
Talent Changes
Swap to the AoE/Mythic+ Build for this boss, found on our Talent Page.
This is a tough fight to survive. Keep track of your Health Potions, Health Stones, Aspect of the Turtle, and Survival of the Fittest to survive, especially if you get the Shadowsteel Chains debuff which hurts a LOT.
You can use Multi-Shot on the rolling balls to apply Trick Shots, and then Aimed Shot the central ball that you are killing in Careful Aim range, which will then cleave onto the boss.
It is possible to get around the rolling spike balls by jumping off the platform, turning your character, and then using Disengage to return to the platform. We only recommend this if you have no other choice, as it is very risky.
For more information, please refer to our Painsmith Raznal guide.
Guardian of the First Ones
We advise you to use the following Legendary against Guardian of the First Ones: Surging Shots.
There is not much to say about this fight for Hunters specifically.
For more information, please refer to our Guardian of the First Ones guide.
Fatescribe Roh-Kalo
We advise you to use the following Legendary against Fatescribe Roh-Kalo: Surging Shots.
We recommend using your cooldowns on pull, and then either using them on the Fatespawn Monstrosities in the Intermission Phase, or on the boss again in Phase 2 depending on group needs.
For more information, please refer to our Fatescribe Roh-Kalo guide.
Talent Changes
Swap to the AoE/Mythic+ Build for this boss, found on our Talent Page.
Kel'Thuzad
We advise you to use the following Legendary against Kel'Thuzad: Surging Shots.
Talent Changes
Swap to the AoE/Mythic+ Build for this boss, found on our Talent Page.
For more information, please refer to our Kel'Thuzad guide.
Sylvanas Windrunner
We advise you to use the following Legendary against Sylvanas Windrunner: Surging Shots.
Talent Changes
Swap to the AoE/Mythic+ Build for this boss, found on our Talent Page.
You can use Aspect of the Turtle right before you a targeted by a Domination Chain. You will still get chained and dragged closer to the arrow, but you will not take any damage.
For more information, please refer to our Sylvanas Windrunner guide.
