Best Legendary in Patch 9.1 for Mistweaver Monk
The following is a list of each of the new legendary powers available to Mistweavers
Kyrian
Call to Arms is the new Kyrian legendary power, causing you to summon your celestial for 12 seconds upon casting Weapons of Order. This looks very powerful at first glance, however in practice this will only serve to run you out of Mana more quickly.
In raids, it is already hard enough to maintain Mana for Invoke Yu'lon, the Jade Serpent, and adding another cast every 2 minutes will only further decimate your Mana pool. However, if the fight you are approaching would benefit from an additional 2-minute cooldown, it could be useful.
It is also important to note that you are able to have two instances of your celestial out at one time with this legendary. For Invoke Chi-Ji, the Red Crane, that means you will proc double stacks while both birds are active, but Invoke Yu'lon, the Jade Serpent does not apply more than one Enveloping Breath to a single person.
This legendary will probably be able to see play in Mythic+, while running Invoke Chi-Ji, the Red Crane, however for raids Ancient Teachings of the Monastery or Tear of Morning will likely still be the superior choice.
Necrolord
Bountiful Brew is the new Necrolord legendary power, giving your spells and abilities a chance to throw a Bonedust Brew on the target's location. This will grant roughly an extra 1.5 Bonedust Brew casts per minute, however it is important to keep in mind that the proc is random, meaning it can trigger during periods where you do not need to heal at all. It should be noted that this proc also triggers Lead by Example. All that being said, Ancient Teachings of the Monastery and Tear of Morning will likely still outpace this power in raid.
Venthyr
Sinister Teachings is the new Venthyr Legendary Power, which reduces the cooldown of Fallen Order by 5 seconds each time you critically strike while a fallen order monk is active, on a 0.75 internal cooldown. Realistically this will translate into a roughly 50-60 second cooldown reduction of Fallen Order. This Legendary is immensely powerful and should be taken in almost all situations.
Night Fae
Faeline Harmony is the new Night Fae power. It doubles the reset chance of your Faeline Stomp, and increases damage and healing you deal to targets struck by 8% for 10 seconds. This power is somewhat intriguing for raids, but totally useless in Mythic+. With that said, and like all the new Legendaries listed above, this power is almost certainly not an upgrade over Ancient Teachings of the Monastery or Tear of Morning.
Best Covenant in Patch 9.1 for Monk Monk
The Covenants themselves remain unchanged, however due to the fact that Revival now procs Mastery: Gust of Mists, Mastery interactions and procs have become much more powerful. As a result, Necrolord has received a fairly large indirect buff due to Bonedust Brew triggering from Revival. That being said however, Venthyr is the best choice for both raiding and mythic+ due to the strength of their Legendary.
Jade Bond and Resplendent Mist have been wildly buffed as a result of the Revival change as well.
