Mistweaver Monk Healing Aberrus, the Shadowed Crucible Raid Guide — Dragonflight 10.2.7
On this page, you will find tips, tricks, and strategies tailored to your Mistweaver Monk for each boss of the following raid: Aberrus, the Shadowed Crucible. All our content is updated for World of Warcraft — Dragonflight 10.2.7.
Introduction
The following guide will explain some tips and tricks for Mistweaver Monks in Vault of the Incarnates. For a complete understanding of specific mechanics or the encounters in general, be sure to check out our Aberrus page.
Talent Cheatsheet
We recommend using the Rising Mist build for Aberrus. However, both the Rising Mist and Tear of Morning builds are likely to be competitive, and pre-patch is the perfect time to experiment and see which playstyle you prefer. More details about the builds can be found in our //www.icy-veins.com/wow/mistweaver-monk-pve-healing-rotation-cooldowns-abilities section.
Kazzara, the Hellforged
Tips
- Use Transcendence to mitigate the knockback from Wings of Extinction while also taking advantage of Escape from Reality to spam cheap Vivifies into the raid.
- Damage to the raid can ramp up significantly when the boss is below 30%, so it is a good idea to have a cooldown ready to go for if things get dicey.
For more information, please refer to our Kazzara guide.
The Amalgamation Chamber
Tips
- Be on the lookout to use Tiger's Lust to speed up some of your slower raid members especially during Molten Eruption or Convergent Eruption.
- During Phase 2, make sure Transcendence is set up with the ranged so that when Gloom Conflagration happens, you can soak it with the melee, then port away to dodge the follow-up damage from Coalescing Void. You can also make use of Escape from Reality to heal up the damage after you port out, then port back into melee.
The Forgotten Experiments
Tips
- Use Roll to quickly get out of the way of Massive Slam and Bellowing Roar
- MISSING needs to be dispelled in a particular and controlled way. You should talent into Restoral to avoid accidentally dispelling them by mistake. However, your guild may find it advantageous to plan around that and use Revival as a mass dispel, so just be sure to coordinate with your raid leader.
For more information, please refer to our Forgotten Experiments guide.
Rashok, the Elder
Tips
- Make sure Transcendence is placed near the boss so you can quickly port back into melee after soaking Doom Flames.
- Have a personal cooldown such as Diffuse Magic or Dampen Harm for when you have to soak Charged Smash
- When the boss is moved to the center of the room and casts Siphon Energy the raid will take enormous damage - have either your Celestial or Revival ready to help survive the damage. This is also a good point for personal defensive cooldowns.
For more information, please refer to our Rashok the Elder guide.
Assault of the Zaqali
Tips
- Dispel Magma Flow quickly.
- If your raid is short on interrupts, you can consider talenting into Spear Hand Strike to help interrupt the Lava Bolts.
- Use Tiger's Lust to quickly deliver the rocks that fall from the ceiling to the yellow arrows on the side of the platform to prevent some adds from spawning.
For more information, please refer to our Assault of the Zaqali guide.
The Vigilant Steward, Zskarn
Tips
- Use Life Cocoon to help your Off-Tank soak Shrapnel Bombs.
- Have your Transcendence in the middle of the room to quickly reposition for Tactical Destruction. Just be aware of its placement, as a random trap could have become active on top of it while you were not looking.
- Alternatively you can instead place your Transcendence on the boss and use it to avoid the Blast Wave knockback. You will need to replace the port more often. However, it will allow you to make better use of Escape from Reality.
Magmorax
Tips
- This fight is a huge HPS throughput check, so be ready to use your raid cooldowns early and often.
- Look to be soaking as many Magma Puddles as you can, while not going above 15-20 stacks. If your stacks get high, use a personal defensive cooldown to mitigate the damage.
- Keep your Transcendence so you can make frequent use of Escape from Reality to help keep your mana healthy. Equally, you can use it to return to the boss after soaking a Magma Puddle or Lava Ejection.
- If your group is not using a Warlock gate, then Transcendence can also be used to dodge the Overpowering Stomp.
For more information, please refer to our Magmorax guide.
Echo of Neltharion
Tips
- Make sure targets with Volcanic Heart have a Renewing Mist on them so you will still be able to heal them if they drop out of line of sight. You may also want to use Life Cocoon on one of them.
- Make sure the raid is healthy before each Echoing Fissure, as it gets stronger after cast.
- In Phase 2, make sure whoever gets Corruption is topped off before they become hostile.
For more information, please refer to our Neltharion guide.
Scalecommander Sarkareth
Tips
- Damage in phase 1 is intense, so use cooldowns early and often. You can use Invoke Yu'lon, the Jade Serpent a few seconds before the pull and cover the first 30 seconds of the fight, basically solo.
- Make sure you have your Renewing Mists ramped up for Mass Disintegrate.
For more information, please refer to our Scalecommander Sarkareth guide.
