Mistweaver Monk PvP Stat Priority, Gear, and Trinkets — The War Within (11.1.0)
Choosing your gear carefully is important for your Mistweaver Monk in PvP. We give you a stat priority to help you choose items with the right stats, followed by advice on how to choose the rest of your gear and your trinkets.
This page is part of our Mistweaver Monk PvP Guide.
Stat Priority for Mistweaver Monks in PvP
The stat priority for Mistweaver Monk in PvP is as follows:
- Intellect;
- Versatility;
- Mastery;
- Haste;
- Critical Strike.
Intellect is the best stat in all situations. Versatility is the most
important secondary stat as it increases the healing you do and reduces the
damage you take. Mastery ( Mastery: Gust of Mists) is also important
because it increases your overall healing output.
Gear Recommendations
In general, Mistweaver Monks want to get trinkets that increase their overall healing output. These trinkets can have a passive or on-use effect. The stat you want to be increasing is Versatility. The reason you want to increase Versatility is because it increases both your damage and healing and reduces the damage you take. For gear, you want anything that has Versatility and Mastery on it. This will increase your overall healing output and your survivability. Here is the best gear we recommend you use as a Mistweaver Monk.
- Head:
Ageless Serpent's Mane
- Neck:
Algari Competitor's Amulet - Crafted with Versatility & Mastery
- Shoulders:
Prized Gladiator's Leather Shoulderpads
- Cloak:
Prized Warmonger's Cape
- Chest:

- Wrists:
Prized Gladiator's Leather Wristwraps
- Hands:
Ageless Serpent's Handguards
- Waist:

- Legs:

- Feet:
Prized Warmonger's Boots

- Ring 2:
Algari Competitor's Signet - Crafted with Versatility & Haste
- Trinket 1:
Prized Gladiator's Medallion
- Trinket 2:
Prized Gladiator's Insignia of Alacrity
- 2H Staff:
Prized Gladiator's Greatstaff
Note: It is essential to be wearing two PvP trinkets. This will give you a Stamina and stat boost that will increase your survivability.
Mistweaver Monk Tier Set
As noted above, acquiring both your 2-set and 4-set bonus is crucial. It is important to note that ALL tier sets are nerfed by 50% in PvP. Although this nerf is significant, tier sets are still important to acquire to maximize your chances to win. For Mistweaver Monks, this is your tier set:
- 2-set: Your healing spells have a chance to apply
Insurance! to their target that heals them over 15 seconds. Insurance is consumed if an ally drops below 40% health to heal them.
- 4-set: Casting
Renewing Mist applies
Insurance! for 6 seconds. The healing of
Insurance! is increased by up to 50% in proportion to the coverage Renewing Mist has on you and up to 10 allies.
4-set is not required for Mistweaver Monks, but getting 2-set is recommended.
Mistweaver Monk Embellishments
Embellishments are bonuses that can be put on crafted gear. These effects can have a drastic impact on the game. You are only allowed to have two Embellishments equipped at the same time. Here are the recommended embellishments for Mistweaver Monk:
Energy Redistribution Beacon. While above 80% health, your direct healing will redistribute up to 2% of your health to your target. This is great for increasing your overall healing output.
Duskthread Lining. This Embellishment significantly increases your Versatility when you are above 80% health.
Gems and Enchants
Here are the best enchants for a Mistweaver Monk:
- Cloak:
Enchant Cloak - Chant of Leeching Fangs
- Chest:
Enchant Chest - Council's Intellect
- Bracers:
Enchant Bracer - Chant of Armored Speed
- Legs:
Daybreak Spellthread
- Boots:
Enchant Boots - Scout's March
- Rings:
Enchant Ring - Cursed Versatility
- Weapon:
Enchant Weapon - Stonebound Artistry
Versatile Onyx is the best gem you can use. You also get access to 1 Meta Gem. You should use
Cognitive Bloodstone for the meta slot.
