Outline
Mythrax the Unraveler is a two-phase encounter in which the raid will need to manage a stacking Health reduction debuff. This debuff is applied from most damage sources in the fight, but also generates orbs that will remove stacks of said debuff. Budgeting the use of these orbs, and minimizing the number of stacks taken is key to ensuring a kill.
TL;DR
Tanks
- Tank Mythrax facing away from he raid, so no one else is hit by Essence Shear.
- Gather Existence Fragments when you are not tanking to keep Annihilation stacks low.
- In Phase Two, pick up N'raqi Destroyers and keep them 40 yards apart and facing away from the raid.
- Be mindful of how many Oblivion Spheres are in melee and move the boss slightly if too many spawn.
Healers
- Top off players running out with Imminent Ruin before they run out of range.
- Be mindful of how many players get caught in Oblivion Spheres and be ready to use a cooldown if they are broken out too quickly.
DPS
- Use damaging abilities to knock raiders out of Oblivion Spheres if assigned to do so.
- In Phase Two, focus down the N'raqi Destroyers so the transition back into Phase One is clean.
Everyone
- Run to the edges of the room if you are targeted by Imminent Ruin.
- Be ready to dodge Obliteration Blast by side-stepping it when Mythrax faces your direction.
- Be vocal about who you are breaking out of Oblivion Sphere to avoid bouncing players back and forth.
Positioning
- Tank Mythrax near the back wall, facing away from the raid.
- Spread out around the room so no more than one person are caught within Oblivion Spheres at a time.
- During Phase Two, spread until Mythrax finishes his channel of Xalzaix's Awakening, then loosely stack on the N'raqi Destroyers while dodging Obliteration Beam.
Bloodlust/Heroism/Time Warp
We advise you to use Bloodlust/ Heroism/ Time Warp at the beginning of the fight to synergize with cooldowns and potions.
