New Zones in Shadowlands Expansion
The Shadowlands expansion introduces 5 new zones to the game, as well as a new neutral capital city for players to use as a hub in the new world.
Capital City of the Shadowlands
The new capital city for the Shadowlands will be Oribos, the Eternal City, a neutral city for both factions to use as a hub.
Leveling Zones in the Shadowlands
The Shadowlands features 4 new leveling zones for players to explore, with each having a distinct theme dictated by the ruling covenant.
The leveling zones are as follows:
Ardenweald
Ardenweald is ruled over by the Night Fae covenant and, just as their land is beautiful, it is equally dangerous.
You can read more about the lore of the zone, as well as the information we currently have on it in our Ardenweald overview.
Bastion
Bastion is a perfect example of order in the Shadowlands; the zone is ruled by the Kyrian covenant, who dedicate themselves to ensuring that both their land and their people are kept safe and their lives are of a high quality.
You can read more about the lore of the zone, as well as the information we currently have on it in our Bastion overview.
Maldraxxus
In Maldraxxus, nothing is valued more than strength. The homeland of the Necrolord covenant is defended by the strongest souls that have been transformed into ghouls and undead monstrosities through the experiments of the necromancers that inhabit this land.
You can read more about the lore of the zone, as well as the information we currently have on it in our Maldraxxus overview.
Revendreth
Pride and arrogance go hand-in-hand in Revendreth, despite the Venthyr's efforts to strip these sins from the souls that wander their home. The Venthyr covenant are on the brink of a new leadership bid, but the current choices seem to push their order towards becoming what they vowed to prevent.
You can read more about the lore of the zone, as well as the information we currently have on it in our Maldraxxus overview.
The Maw
The Maw is said to be home to the most vile and evil souls that have ever existed, that could potentially destroy the Shadowlands if they were to ever be freed.
You can read more about the lore of the zone, as well as the information we currently have on it in our overview of The Maw.
