Nine thousand of World of Warcraft players in China have been hit with severe penalties after abusing a Mythic+ dungeon exploit.
According to the official blog post, more than 9,000 characters lost their M+ titles after investigations confirmed they gained unfair advantages. The full list of impacted characters was made public by NetEase on the official World of Warcraft China website. This public naming aims to set an example and send a strong message against cheating in competitive content!
This also affected teammates who ran dungeons alongside the exploiters. NetEase additionally removed PvP titles and suspended around 3,000 accounts involved in Arena win-trading this season.
