Liquid just pulled off a crazy kill on the final boss of the War Within Season 2 raid! This is their second race win in a row, after they conquered Nerub-ar Palace in Season 1 as well. This puts them at five race wins (with two as Complexity Limit) overall, one ahead of Echo.
A Very Unexpected Kill for Everyone
Coming out of a 60% best after their off-stream pulls yesterday, Liquid continuously progressed at a steady pace until around 14%, at which point they just went crazy. In a matter of two pulls, the guild got the kill, with a massive 14% improvement seemingly out of nowhere! A very round pull 100 was the one, and while it’s fewer pulls than the 4th boss, Stix Bunkjunker (114), and especially than the penultimate boss, Mug’Zee (149), the fight did last longer slightly in the end.

It’s very safe to say none of the players expected that last 14% after to be surpassed that quickly, especially with so many players alive very close to the end.

A very strange end to a strange tier. No one expected Gallywix to go down in a day and a bit of progression. Especially after the Stix Bunkjunker difficulty spike and, to a lesser extent, Mug’Zee’s difficulty. The race did last a solid amount of time for modern raids, but a lot of that was spent in Normal and Heroic splits, gearing up the characters before heading to the maximum difficulty.
