A WoW Trial + 4 Hours = Infinite Timereaver??

Staff's Avatar by Staff

A player decided to give Restoration Shaman a try while on a trial account and it seems the elements were with them and then some. Only 4 hours and 44 attempts later, they received one very rare mount – the Infinite Timereaver.

Their Journey

Thestray had some serious luck while their subscription was expired. While trying Restoration Shaman, they decided to play some Timewalking dungeons to level faster. The Reins of the Infinite Timereaver iconReins of the Infinite Timereaver came faster than the levels because despite getting it they can’t even use it since you have to be level 27 to learn the mount. Blizzard really wanted them to resub again – returning player conspiracy theory luck, huh?

Rarity

The mount itself is pretty rare. It has a staggering 1 in 4000 (or 0.025%) approximate chance of dropping when killing a Timewalking boss, which feels like forever when you start to farm it.

Community Reactions

It took thestray only 44 attempts, while some are at 100 times that, and still don’t have it.

And for some, even leveling literally all classes to level 80 using only Timewalking dungeons wasn’t enough.

At least, the mount drops… for some.

And if you’re wondering how they tracked the attempts at the mount, they are using the Rarity addon, which you can download at CurseForge!
