We have another massive mount collector on our hands! One more player has busted through the 90% barrier and managed to get themselves over 1,100 modes of transportation in WoW.
One of the (Not So) Few 496 430
Lasko_leaf_blower acquired 1,104 out of 1,223, or 90.3% of all available mounts. While this is very impressive for the vast majority of players, it actually puts them in the 430th spot of most mounts collected over on Data for Azeroth. Now, as we’ve mentioned in the past, DfA doesn’t have exact numbers. Still, it seems very probable that if you’re a player who has put in that much effort to gather over one thousand mounts, you’ve probably also logged your character in on their site, so it’s very likely an accurate number. There are actually 496 players that earned over 1,100 mounts, which is a pretty crazy number considering the effort involved.
The Details
Lasko_leaf_blower shared highlights of their collection, including their preferred mounts, such as the 
Swift Zulian Tiger and 
Reins of the Swift Spectral Tiger for ground mounts, with the 
Reins of the Plagued Proto-Drake taking the skies, as well as nostalgic moments tied to their mount-hunting journey.
Hardest To Acquire
When asked about the biggest challenges of this journey, they cited the Swift Zulian Tiger as the hardest to acquire, having camped the Black Market Auction House daily for months to obtain it. They also highlighted the difficulty of earning the 
Soaring Spelltome, which required completing a series of Mage Tower challenges, as well as the Vidious Saddle PvP mounts, and a particularly annoying 408 dungeon run for 
Tomb Stalker.
Community Reactions
The real question is: what do you do with all of those mounts? You can’t flex them all at the same time! Maybe they spent last month showing them off in Mount Mania?
The answer is no – they only did it for a day, probably getting tired after picking out the best ones.
What Was the Cost?
What was the cost, you may ask? They simply replied, “20 years of my life.”, a response that was greatly respected by many players. And that’s with a full-time job, without being able to play from work!
What’s Next?
The next step for lasko_leaf_blower is to continue searching and collecting mounts they still don’t have. Currently, they’re working on the Blood Elf heritage mount. While this incredible journey is close to the end, the hardest 10% remains.
