Note: This bug has already been fixed.
Yesterday we saw a huge batch of hotfixes for 14 specs in PvE and 17 in PvP—but one spec got a pretty serious downgrade.
Arcane Mages were hit with a hilarious (for anyone except Arcane Mages) bug, where instead of regenerating mana over time, their mana would passively drain. The integer for mana regeneration had been accidentally set to a negative value, meaning in or out of combat mana would drain from 100% to absolute zero.
As a DPS spec that relies primarily on mana for their rotation, the class was completely unplayable for a few hours. But thankfully, due to many reports from disgruntled Mages, this bug has already been fixed.
