Blizzard’s Senior Visual Development Artist, Catarina Pulli, has shared interesting early artwork of the Hallowfall crystal, Beledar, on ArtStation. The new visuals offer a glimpse of areas and elements that haven’t appeared in the game yet, like a flight of stairs leading from the Priory of the Sacred Flame to Beledar.
These early concepts could either point to scrapped ideas or tease future content in the upcoming expansion, where players might finally get to explore inside the crystal. The new details leave room for speculation in the WoW community.
Though its true nature remains unknown, the mysterious Beledar crystal could be the target of Xal’atath, who may seek to corrupt its power for her dark purposes. What untold power does the crystal hold, and what will it unleash? The Azj-Kahet mural, which many players are familiar with, hints at a link to an Old God and the Void version of Beledar. Only time will reveal the full extent of the crystal and the story!
