Following the release of Patch 11.1.5 in WoW, some players who were recently banned are now reporting their suspensions have been reversed, confirming they were wrongfully penalized.
Apologies Issued After Ban Reviews
Reddit user Scorpiogamer2017 shared a screenshot of an official Blizzard email (see image), showing their permanent account suspension was overturned after further investigation. The email included a direct apology from Blizzard, acknowledging the ban was issued in error.
“To those who thought I deserved the ban… here is the proof I did nothing wrong,” the player wrote.
Second Reversal Highlights Broader Issue
In a separate case, Reddit user Dixos revealed their entire Battle.net account, not just WoW, had been suddenly banned, only to be reinstated days later after manual review.
“I’m happy to say my account was finally unlocked,” they wrote, sharing screenshots of a human GM response that thanked them for their patience.
