Blizzard Brings Back Character Restoration – All You Need to Know!

Staff's Avatar by Staff

Blizzard has officially reactivated the Character Restoration Service, allowing players to recover their deleted characters once again! In an update posted on October 3, Blizzard announced that the feature is now available to all players, but with a slight change.

Players can restore deleted characters, but there is a 60-second delay between each restoration. To proceed with multiple restores, you’ll need to refresh the character selection screen, switch realms, or log in to an active character.

Starting October 15, a 7-day cooldown period between restorations will be reintroduced. Don’t miss out on the current flexibility to restore your characters without the cooldown!

[Update 10/3] Players are now able to restore characters that have been deleted. Please note that at this time there is a 60 second delay between each undelete. You will need to refresh the character screen, change realms, or log into a character between each character restored. On October 15, we will be re-instituting the 7-day cooldown period between character restorations.
