Major Excavations on Siren Isle offer players an opportunity to unearth treasures! Players can contribute 
Flame-Blessed Iron to blast open hidden caves, face Rare Elites, and recieve loot caches. Here’s everything you need to know to succeed in a Major Excavation on Siren Isle.
Choosing a Major Excavation
Head to the Mission Table in Flotsam Shoal to join and select a Major Excavation. Once enough Flame-Blessed Iron is deposited, a countdown starts, giving you 2-3 minutes to reach the excavation site. We contributed iron to “The Drain” excavation for testing.
Reaching the Major Excavation
You will have a few minutes to reach the designated location before the explosives are sent. Check your map for the excavation’s exact location!
Once the countdown reaches zero, the cave opens, and you can enter it.
Major Excavation Objectives
Each excavation involves defeating a Rare Elite boss within the cave. For example, in The Drain, you’ll encounter Gravesludge. Killing the boss is essential for completing an excavation and unlocking the rewards.
Major Excavation Rewards
Once the rare is defeated, you will be awarded Bronze Celebration Tokens and 
Crate of Bygone Riches. The crate contains valuables like Flame-Blessed Iron, Valorstones, crests, gems for the Cyrce’s Circlet, and Veteran gear.
Major Excavations can also reward gems for your Cyrce’s Circlet ring.
