The War Within Season 2 is in full swing, but players farming Khaz Algar world bosses might be wasting valuable time. These Season 1 bosses, like the one found on the Isle of Dorn, still drop outdated loot from Season 1, not the new Season 2 item levels players are hunting for!
Blizzard never updates old world bosses to new season item levels. Instead, they introduce a new world boss in the new zone, like the Gobfather in Undermine who drops a guaranteed piece of Warband-bound Champion gear on your first weekly kill.

As seen in the screenshot, a player has defeated the Isle of Dorn world boss and received a 
Seal of the Silent Vigil, an item level 603 Champion ring from Season 1. Unfortunately, this gear is now outdated and won’t help players gearing up for current content.
Where Should You Focus?
If you’re looking for relevant gear upgrades in Season 2:
- Skip the old Khaz Algar world bosses
- Target the Gobfather in Undermined weekly for guaranteed Champion gear.
