It seems WoW’s most draconic race have no mastered the art of rolling!
Grouchy-Singer-3546 spotted this particular Plunderstorm peculiarity, Dracthyr have a unique way of getting around once they hop into those ubiquitous barrels!
The delicate technique of rolling in an old wooden barrel is quite a technological feat. And as the Dracthyr have been asleep for many years, they did not keep up with the times. And so, they are forced to use their own special ways to get the barrel around. Now, it seems they missed the point of the barrel, as when they use 
Barrel Roll, instead of getting into it and, well, rolling inside it, they instead transform into a whelp and roll around that way. An alternative interpretation would be that they summon a butler/driver-type whelp that then pushes them around in the barrel.
The leading theory as to why this is happening, other than a really cool design flourish, is that the Dracthyr don’t have Monk roll animations, and so compensate this way. Either way, it’s a very cute and fascinating part of the Dracthyr culture, and we love it.
