Hallowfall really is quickly becoming a lot of players’ favorite zone of all time. We’ve already taken a look at the community reactions to the zone itself here. Its undeniable beauty aside, it’s also home to some pretty great quests.
The Cutest, Most Scary, Potentially Psychopathic Kid Ever
Welcome to the Mereldar orphanage. Here you’ll find Alyza Bowblaze, an orphan with a seemingly innocent request. Her quest chain, An Orphan’s Dilemma, starts with you looking for her “Much Loved” Teddy Bear. It gets slightly bloodier right after, turning into a tale of revenge and final goodbyes. And if you ask me, that’s a worrying teddy bear description.
Seeing as she’s such an adorable, level-headed and determined kid, some members of the Reddit community have already adopted her. And there’s already quite a long discussion of her character “qualities”.
On the other hand, there are some interesting community comments leaning into the other side of her persona, a potentially psychopathic one.

Like she says in the ending, “Well, parents avenged, fish killed, more fish killed, biggest fish killed. Pretty good day. I guess I should go burn stuff.” Some future quests would be most welcome, so we can get more unforgettable (and potentially slightly haunting) quotes from her. Seeing her grow up into… something would sure be a cool way to show the passage of time in the game.
Hopefully, Xal’atath won’t get her hands on Alyza, or we’re ALL doomed.
