Discover the fastest leveling route in The War Within, taking you from level 70 to 80 in under 2 hours!
Harldan‘s new video showcases the fastest farming route to level from 70 to 80 in just 1 hour and 38 minutes! This method uses Adventure Mode, allowing you to level up through any content in any zone, with certain activities yielding higher XP—making it essential to prioritize those for maximum efficiency.
Isle of Dorn Leveling
Skip the Dalaran intro and go to the crash site to pick the quests as you usually would. As you progress through the campaign, remember to set your Hearthstone to Dornogal if you haven’t done that already. Pick up all the Adventure Mode quests at the Delver’s Headquarters just in case. Continue questing until you are sent to Freywold Village then make a detour southeast to a zone called Crossroads Plaza to grab quests. The Wanted quests you want to complete are called the Earthwound and the Boroughbreaker because they are close to each other.
Shortly after arriving in Freywold Village, you will be tasked to complete the Earthcrawl Mines delve. At Crossroads Plaza, you picked a quest for this delve, and finishing it will provide you with additional XP. You should be able to pick up these quests inside the delve, but it is currently bugged for the campaign version of Earthcrawl Mines.
Grab the next two campaign quests, and now grab all the possible optional quests nearby. The quest Prairie Fever should be completed immediately because it gives you two follow-up quests titled Buried, But Not Forgotten and Monsters in the Dark that you can complete alongside the campaign. Complete Weapons and Warriors when you are done with all campaign quests in Freywold Village. This will take you to a new subzone in the east that’s very efficient for leveling.
When you complete all campaign and side quests up until The Proscenium, you want to start following along with the Isle of Dorn campaign, as things slow down from this point on.
You’ll now have complete freedom to complete all the remaining side quests in Isle of Dorn in any order.
Weapons and Warriors starts in Freywold Village, but it will eventually take you to a subzone called The Glimmering Shore that contains a bonus objective that is invisible until you begin the questline, making this hub extremely efficient for leveling.
When you finish with all the quests in the area, fly north and complete the chain in the Boskroot Basin subzone. These quests are located just outside of the Fungal Folly delve and you want to make a detour and run the delve at this time.
Next, fly to the west to turn in All or Nothing. Upon finishing everything there, you will be directed east to a hub called Golgrin’s Reach. Complete all quests and the nearby bonus objective there. The questline will continue beyond this subzone, but it’s not recommended to follow it past this point.
Swing by Crossroads Plaza to hand in all completed quests.
Go to Fallside Outpost and complete all quests up to One More Tradition. Skip the Kriegval’s Rest delve. Further north, you encounter a subzone called Rambleshire. Complete all quests there, but skip Thunderhead Butt because it has a lot of RP that slows you down.
Continue with Delves
The Delver’s Call quests grant a lot of experience, which is why you should complete every delve once. Running on Tier 2 will yield the best results in terms of efficiency.
Brann’s scaling is invisible at lower levels, so he barely has any impact on delve completion time. As for curios, you should ideally have all at Epic quality. If you don’t, make sure to run Tier 8 delves on your main until you do.
- For your Combat Curio, choose Porcelain Arrowhead Idol, as it boosts both your and Brann’s damage.
- For your Utility Curio, pick either Streamlined Relic or Amorphous Relic.
- Set Brann’s role to Damage Dealer, but if you struggle with survivability, you can always change his role to Healer.
Still Not at Level 80? Here’s What to Do!
If you’re not at Level 80 by now and you’ve completed all delves, you shouldn’t do additional delves but rather prioritize quests.
- If you barely reached level 78, go to Hallowfall and begin the campaign. Pick up all the side quests but only complete those near a campaign objective.
- If you are much closer to level 79, start the Ringing Deeps campaign. All of the best quests are frontloaded.
- When you are really close to level 79, it may be best to stay in Isle of Dorn and complete a few more side quests.
