Another updated guide by the man with the deep voice, Danta, has arrived and it’s the Glory of the Dragon Soul Raider. If you still don’t have it, now is the right time to get a dragon mount that looks like Alexstrasza.
Rewards
Completing Glory of the Dragon Soul Raider will reward you with an amazing, dark purple, twilight-themed drake with glowing eyes and wings – the Reins of the Twilight Harbinger.

The meta-achievement is completely soloable, but a few achievements require you to do specific mechanics that can be frustrating. If you’re playing a Hunter, Warlock, or any pet class, it can make some of the harder ones easier, but all classes can do it. You can check everything that needs to be done and how to do it in the video, and we’ll go over the most annoying ones below as well.
Maybe He’ll Get Dizzy…
You have to force Deathwing to roll multiple times without accidentally getting thrown off or ruining the sequence.
What makes it annoying?
- If you kill too many tentacles, you might trigger a roll at the wrong time.
- If you stop moving and he rolls, you’re instantly thrown off his back.
- The encounter itself is already slow and repetitive, making mistakes even more painful.
Solo Tip: Kill only one tentacle at a time, stand on it, wait for a roll message, then move to the other side and repeat.
Chromatic Champion
Why It’s Hard: You need to defeat Madness of Deathwing four times, each time starting the encounter on a different Aspect’s platform (Alexstrasza, Nozdormu, Ysera, Kalecgos). It’s not as much hard as it is annoying! You also might need some speed buffs to get to Alex’s platform.
Good luck and enjoy your new pretty awesome dragon!
