We have even more class changes announced, this time on live 12.0.7 realms! The PvP section gets all the attention this time around, as four classes get adjustments. Healers and Demon Hunters are the primary targets, with DH survivability in focus. Holy Priests are getting more healing and more damage, while Disc and Resto Shamans just get healing buffs. Meanwhile. Mistweavers grab some nerfs, with Way of the Crane taking a big hit (in PvP only).
The tuning goes live with the weekly reset.
With scheduled weekly maintenance in each region, we’ll make tuning adjustments that are primarily targeted at healer balance and Demon Hunter survivability in PvP.
Player versus Player
- Demon Hunter
- Developers’ notes: Both Devourer and Havoc Demon Hunters have been more difficult to land kills against than intended. We’re reducing the potency of shared mitigation effects that are contributing to their survival.
- Demon Muzzle now reduces magic damage taken by 5% in PvP combat (was 15%).
- Glimpse now reduces damage taken by 25% (was 35%) while airborne after using Vengeful Retreat.
- Monk
- Mistweaver
- Developers’ notes: We’re reducing Mistweavers’ ability to heal versus clumped targets in PvP since they’ve been outputting more healing than we’d like against pet classes.
- Way of the Crane now transfers 100% of Spinning Crane Kick’s damage into healing in PvP Combat (was 340%).
- Mistweaver
- Priest
- Holy
- Developers’ notes: We’re increasing overall healing and providing an opportunity for Holy Priests to contribute offensively to secure kills with their team.
- Holy Fire direct damage increased by 15%.
- Holy Fire periodic damage increased by 27%.
- All healing increased by 3%.
- Discipline
- Healing of all spells increased by 3% in PvP combat.
- Holy
- Shaman
- Restoration
- Developers’ notes: Restoration Shaman healing performance has been slightly behind other healers in PvP, so we’re targeting an increase to their instant healing capabilities.
- Riptide healing increased by 15% in PvP combat.
- Restoration
