Heartening Community Stories of WoW’s Positive Life Impact

Staff's Avatar by Staff

There are plenty of times, even without exaggeration, when the WoW experience could be called toxic. So it’s good to remember that many players have had quite positive experiences, and many consider WoW to have had a positive impact on their lives, helping them through tough times.

We’ve already touched upon harder themes when we covered how one player overcame dungeon and group anxiety through WoW. And we can’t forget The Remarkable Life of Ibelin, and the lasting impact he had on the community. This time, we’ll take a look at some of the heartening stories players shared to Northern-Beaver‘s question.

The shared stories are varied, and dare we say poignant, but hopeful. From just making people happy, making friends, and meeting spouses, to helping them overcome severe life issues. And sometimes just being a place you can always return to.

There’s many more sincere stories shared in the discussion, and as hard as they sound, they all end up on a hopeful tone. If you’ve got a story to tell, and are willing to share, the discussion is still going strong.
