Holding Up Well: TWW Season 1 Mythic+ Runs in Week 12 Beat All but One Season

Staff's Avatar by Staff

Zmiecer is back once again and we have another look at what’s going on with the Mythic+ number of runs this past week! Things seem to be going well for The War Within compared to Dragonflight, as it’s holding up better than all but one of its seasons!

Week 12: A Consistent Drop

While things are going better than most of Dragonflight, that doesn’t mean the numbers aren’t still dropping. All Mythic+ seasons keep on going down until the end, barring some big changes. Fortunately for TWW, that’s exactly what’s happening next week, with some massive improvements coming to M+ in patch 11.0.7. However, this past week saw another 200,000 or so fewer runs than week 11.

We’re down to 800K in TWW Season 1, but that’s still more than double the amount the previous season had. The reason we only see DF Season 4 above is because it’s the only other season with the new squished key system, which reduces the total number of runs quite a bit since there are just fewer keys being run due to the nature of players only running keys up to 19 instead of all the way up to 32.

The All Season Comparison

But if we ignore the squish and compare the number with older seasons anyway, we can see that TWW is still doing very well. Only Seasons 1 and 3 of Dragonflight did better than TWW S1:

But, as always, that’s not all in terms of hyper-useful stats provided by Zmiecer! We still have the normalized chart to check out, which shows us the drop-off percentages compared to each season’s start. Here we can see TWW only beaten by DF Season 3, the by far most popular season overall.

Next week is going to be really interesting to see, as the many improvements arrive with patch 11.0.7. We’ll see how much that affects numbers, if at all, as players should be more motivated to dive into Mythic+. You can read up on the upcoming changes here.

And, as always, if you liked the data, head on over to the reddit thread and thank Zmiecer for these awesome weekly presentations!
