Gold rewards for finishing Mythic+ dungeons received a pretty solid buff in patch 11.0.7.
Mythic+ feels odd when you need to spend around 1k gold on repairs but only receive about 50 gold in return. In the recent patch, the reward differs depending on the keystone level, scaling up. While Blizzard didn’t specify the exact amount, we have South-Ad-4188, reporting they received 150 gold from a +10, while another player reported earning 250 gold from a +12 run. However, this is still far from covering the repair costs (and consumables…). So, was this actually a good buff?
Is This Actually a Good Buff?
To set the record straight, this is a significant improvement compared to the previous gold rewards, but it is still not enough for most players. Many remain frustrated with the disparity between repair costs and the gold earned. What is the solution that Blizzard could implement to satisfy players? Let’s take a look at what they have to say!
Player Suggestions
Most players agree that the amount of gold received when timing a key should be around 1k gold. This would be a meaningful reward to celebrate a successful run. However, some believe that such a change might lead to players farming lower keys for gold and messing up the economy. A simple solution to this problem would be to implement a daily cap on the gold earned from Mythic+ dungeons.
