Is Tyrael’s Charger Actually Dropping? WoW’s Event Sparks Big Confusion

One question being very frequently asked during the Greedy Emissary event is “Does Tyrael's Charger iconTyrael’s Charger drop?”. The mount was a reward from a previous Diablo crossover event and also dropped from golbins (that is, after it was initially an exclusive tied to the launch of Diablo 3 and later a Trading Post offer), and there’s been a recolored and resized version added in this year’s event specifically. So it’s pretty understandable that players aren’t quite sure what’s going on. Well, Blizzard aren’t exactly helping either.

A Tale of Two Customer Service Responses

Players have gone so far as to open tickets and directly ask whether Tyrael’s Charger can drop from the goblins during this event. Unhelpfully, different players get different and opposite responses. Shot_Veterinarian215 got a slightly more generic-sounding response that the mount was, in fact, available.

However, ArchaoticDota managed to get through to a more legitimate-looking response, saying that the mount was not available. However, even this response is slightly off, as it only mentions the store availability of the mount.

Player are still not 100% sure of what’s going on, but considering basically no reports of any drops of the old mount, it seems very likely that the second response is the correct one. Only the new mount, Inarius' Charger iconInarius’ Charger, is definitely to be dropping for players. There is one solitary comment mentioning that they got Tyrael’s, which sparked a lot of this discussion, but it seems like a fake/misunderstanding now. Either that or the mount is one of the rarest things in WoW!

So, which side do you come out on? Is Tyrael’s real in this month’s event but extremely rare? Or is it a hoax?
