We’ve all been in situations like this: after a long and exhausting day of questing, your bag fills up with a bunch of items with no significant value. No problem though, you can just sell them, right? Wrong. Some items can’t be sold because they lack a vendor value. Getting rid of such items means deleting them manually, which takes a frustrating amount of time. ChaosMieter makes a great point about assigning these items a value of just 1 copper – just to get rid of them faster. Having to drag, type “DELETE,” and accept wastes so much unnecessary time, and is pretty annoying in and of itself.
The Main Issues
No Vendor Value: Players wish these items could be sold for even 1 copper to avoid the tedious process of dragging and manually confirming their destruction.
“DELETE” Requirement: Many dislike typing “DELETE” over and over, especially for items they’ve already unlocked or no longer need.
Historical Context: Some players suggested that older items were designed this way due to past limitations or to prevent botting.
Quest Rewards: Opening quest reward items instead of receiving them directly adds unnecessary clicks, which players find annoying.
Suggested Solutions
Obviously the 1 Copper solution is the easiest, but just in case there’s some super secret deliberate reason those Hallow’s End wands just HAVE to be unsellable, making them actually stack, or making those that do have bigger stacks is the next best thing.
As with most things in WoW, there are several useful add-ons to handle this issue: Leatrix Plus, Easy Delete, and DeJunk. These tools work similarly, so take a look and pick the one you prefer. Save yourself some sanity!
But if none of that appeals to you, desperate times call for desperate measures!
It seems not even the vendors want these kinds of items!
