The Best Mythic+ DPS in The War Within Season 2, Patch 11.1: Post-Tuning Update

Staff's Avatar by Staff

Patch 11.1 is coming today for US players and tomorrow for EU servers. We got some major last-minute changes to the classes as Blizzard threw some class tuning our way over the weekend. So it’s definitely time to check what these most recent changes do to our projected spec rankings!

S-Tier Changes

The class tuning did shake things up quite a bit, even in the highest tier. We have a brand new spec at the helm, and the top two spots are looking very, very familiar. That’s right, it’s the return of the double-Shaman, as Elemental clawed its way back to the very top after the recent tuning changes to other specs. Enhancement sits comfortably in 2nd, with only Fire being worthy of sitting in the very top tier with the dark blue specs, and also moving up since the tuning.

The Top Tiers

Now let’s take a look at full top tiers and the many DPS specs (very happily) populating them. These are curated and made by our guide writer Petko. You can check out the full tier list with all the categories, as well as all the utility the specs bring to groups in our guide here.

This is a preliminary list based on PTR testing and the tuning notes. It will be updated very frequently. Also keep in mind these rankings are oriented at the new Season 2 dungeons, which arrive next week. Also, as always, the rankings are an overall look at the meta, they vary between key levels and affixes. We also don’t have a specific placement for Havoc, as it was bugged on the PTR.

A Video Overview

In addition to the full tier list guide, you can also check out Petko’s video overview, going over each class and spec! Keep in mind the video is a little older than the above rankings, so it will have some (already) out-of-date rankings, but you can hear the reasoning behind the choices.

We’re about to see all these specs in action, albeit without the accompanying Season 2 dungeons. So get ready for a messy week!
