World of Warcraft’s Patch 11.1 has introduced a new status symbol for the wealthy—Liquid Gold, a drink that costs more than some of the game’s mounts! Sold by Paks Topskimmer at the Incontinental Hotel, this drink is priced at 100,000 gold.
But if that seems excessive, wait until you hear about the 250,000 gold version available from bartenders in the Diamond Lounge in Undermine.

What Does 250,000 Gold Get You?
For a quarter of a million gold, Liquid Gold restores 4,5 million health and 3.7 million mana over 20 seconds.
That means each second of sipping costs you 12,500 gold. And the kicker? The item disappears after use! Even worse, the item’s flavor text mocks your purchase: “This tastes terrible! Why do people drink this stuff?”
The Ultimate Gold Sink in WoW
While Blizzard has introduced some wild gold sinks over the years, Liquid Gold might be the most creatively useless. There is no difference between the 100,000 gold and 250,000 gold versions, just the price tag. If you’re rich enough to buy it, you’re essentially paying for bragging rights.
Would you drop 250,000 gold for a single-use drink? Or is this Blizzard’s ultimate troll items? Let us know what you think!
