What’s New This Week?
This week’s bonus event revolves around Burning Crusade Timewalking. This means you can complete a new weekly quest for a cache containing 1 piece of Normal Nerub-ar Palace gear, the Black Temple raid can be cleared for 597 gear and a chance at the rare Ashes of Al’ar mount.
The second LFR wing for Nerub-ar Palace is now open alongside Queen Ansurek’s Story Mode that we cover in great detail here. You can also finally participate in Mythic+ Dungeons and clear the raid on Mythic Difficulty.
Pirates’ Day starts on September 19 and Brewfest on September 20.
What to Focus on This Week?
If you truly want to get the most out of your Great Vault this week, make sure you switch to your relevant loot specialization and generate loot, but don’t select anything until the day before reset. Run all the content that has a chance to give you the gear you would select from the weekly chest and only open in on the last day before maintenance, so you avoid duplicates.
Visit Dornogal and pick up the usual weekly quests (including the Timewalking quest mentioned above).
First you want to talk to Faerin and select a weekly activity for the seasonal chest. Awakening the Machine is probably the easiest to complete out of this week’s objectives.
You also want to pick up the dungeon quest for 1,500 reputation and complete that dungeon to increase your reputation. I believe it’s Ara-Kara this week on NA realms. If you don’t want to bother with groups, you can complete a Follower Dungeon that will count toward the weekly quest.
Go to The Ringing Deeps to kill the World Boss for a chance at 603 Champion loot. While you are here, do not forget to go grab the Awakening the Machine weekly quest and complete the event.
You should also complete a few world quests in this zone to unlock the special assignment for the seasonal chest and don’t forget about the Sniffenseeking weekly as well. To find out exactly where to pick up these quests, search for blue exclamation point icons on the map of Gundargaz.
Your next stop is Hallowfall. Complete Spreading the Light‘s main objective for the weekly chest.
In Isle of Dorn, don’t forget to complete Theater Troupe for the weekly chest.
After completing all your weeklies, it’s time to focus on Delves, focus on clearing Bountiful Delves for your weekly chest, clear the Nerub-ar Palace raid and complete dungeons to unlock all slots in the Great Vault for next week. Don’t forget about killing Elites and looting Treasure Chests across Khaz Algar.
Focus on upgrading your gear and completing your 4-set bonus. If you haven’t spent your first Catalyst charge yet, you can spend it to convert a non-set piece of gear into a Nerub-ar Palace class set piece of armor.
