Patch 11.1.5‘s only new content, the Nightfall event, is currently broken for some players, and players are frustrated!
Two days after launch, players have reported that Nightfall isn’t working properly! The event, which is supposed to tide players over until Horrific Visions and Dastardly Duos arrive, is stuck in limbo!
What’s the Bug?
In some cases, the event timer stays at 00:00 indefinitely, and nothing happens. This bug apparently affects certain layers. A layer is like a copy of the world you’re in. The game creates multiple versions (layers) of the same zone to prevent lag or overcrowding.
Day two of patch 11.1.5 and i still have no idea how the MAIN event of this patch works. Its stuck on 00:00 since the patch released.

What You Can Try
The method suggests using the Group Finder to hop into a working layer. Search for “Nightfall” groups and join one that’s active.
If you confirm your layer is working ,consider listing your own group to help others avoid the bug.
However, not everyone reports success with this method. Redditor Loop801108 offers two additional workarounds!
- Kill little bugs near the event area. They grant tiny amounts of credit, and chests still spawn, even if the final boss doesn’t.
- Fly out over the ocean and return. In some instances, this refreshes bugged quest objectives.

As of now, Blizzard has not officially addressed the issue. Given the visibility of the bug, a hotfix may be on the way, so stay tuned for any updates!
