Patch 11.1.5 Releases April 22—But Most Content Arrives Weeks Later

Staff's Avatar by Staff

Patch 11.1.5 lands on April 22, but players hoping to dive into everything right away will need to wait! While the patch introduces several new features, most of the content is time-gated and will only become available over the following weeks.

What’s Available at Launch?

When Patch 11.1.5 hits live on April 22, only two features will be available:

  • The “Nightfall” Outdoor Content in Hallowfall – This revolves around a new Renown farm that gives 1 piece of Champion gear weekly and mostly Warband-bound Veteran gear, so nothing extraordinary.
  • Cooldown Manager – The new tool for managing ability timers.
  • Winds of Mysterious Fortune – A new leveling and reputation buff for alts.

This means players will have limited new activities on day one. The rest of the update’s features will be released throughout the next few weeks/months.

Patch 11.1.5 Content Release Schedule

Here’s when the remaining content will unlock:

  • Children’s Week (April 28 – May 5) – The event has been updated this year.
  • Horrific Visions Revisited (May 20) – The feature won’t become available until nearly a FULL MONTH after the patch launches. Even then, unlocking talents in the Visions tree used to increase your Sanity and survivability will take time, potentially slowing player progress even more. At some point during 11.1.5 testing, Blizzard even considered time-gating the talents. However, we’re not sure if they still plan on doing that.
As you can see, the second tier of talents had the VisionsWeek2 listed as the unlock requirement, meaning you wouldn’t be able to unlock it until the second week of Horrific Visions.
  • Dastardly Duos (June 3 – July 15) – The new event won’t arrive until June, more than six weeks post-patch!

Although the 11.1.5 content update contains various features, the extended rollout means players will need to pace their expectations!
