With today’s patch 11.0.7 PTR update we got some new timing information related to the big 11.1 patch!
While we still don’t know much about WoW’s next big patch we do now know its likely release window and possibly the specific date as well. The big hint/outright reveal we received today is related to the Turbulent Timeways event. It appeared on the calendar in this week’s PTR build and is set to last from January 7th to February 25th, spanning seven weeks.
Exact Release Date Speculation and Our Pick
Narrowing down the exact week patch 11.1 might release is a little tricky based on the Timeways event. Back in Dragonflight, patch 10.1 actually released in the final week of the Turbulent Timeways. However, that particular trend was immediately changes as 10.2 released a week after the event had ended. And so we have a window of February 18th to March 2nd when we’re basically sure the patch will land. We don’t think it’s likely we get another overlap of the event and brand new patch, so we’re narrowing it down to either the week immediately after the event ends or the one after that.
We’ll narrow down our guess for when 11.1 is likely to hit to February 25th, right after the event!
We won’t have to wait too long to find out more about 11.1, as the Warcraft direct stream is sure to reveal it. We do have some leaked information and rumors about the content of the patch, however. Whether we get the release date as well is up in the air. But make sure to tune in on November 13 at 10:00 AM PST to find out!
