One World of Warcraft player has taken dedication to a whole new level. Reddit user Troxfot spent 18 months capturing over 27,000 screenshots while exploring Azeroth and beyond. And now, they’ve turned those moments into a massive video series!

What began as a simple wallpaper collection evolved into a comprehensive digital archive of their character’s journey through the world of WoW.

But Troxfot didn’t stop at just sharing screenshots. Under the YouTube channel name Ahktallis, they started organizing these images into themed videos. So far, there are 29 videos covering iconic zones like Vashj’jir, with more on the way, including content from The War Within expansion!

Each video offers a visual ‘reimagining of the timeline’, according to Troxfot, but remains grounded in World of Warcraft’s actual storyline. The first video, which combines Exile’s Reach and Durotar, sets the tone for what’s essentially a visual retelling of the game’s history.

The level of detail and editing care that went into this project is impressive! Even without narration, the atmosphere and scene transitions convey a strong narrative. The project has been praised by the WoW community for its dedication, creativity, and sheer scale.

Whether you’re a veteran or a fan of visual storytelling, this project is worth watching! Check out Ahktallis‘ YouTube channel for more details!
