Player Tricked by Fake +10 Dungeon Group in Cinderbrew Scam

A player pushing their final two +10 dungeons got baited by a misleading group—and almost got reported for walking away.

Misleading Title Leads to a Fake +10 Run

Reddit user Hot_Minimum1912 was down to their final 2 +10 keys. They needed Cinderbrew Meadery and Priory of the Secret Flame to complete every dungeon at that level. Running as a Blood DK, they joined what looked like a solid pre-made for their second +10 run, after a failed +10 run before that. 3 DPS players with 2.4K+ ratings and a healer sitting at 2K were waiting in the new Meadery group. This new group felt smooth, maybe too smooth. After the first boss died, something didn’t add up.

A quick check confirmed the suspicion: the dungeon was actually a +7, not the +10 advertised. When called out, the group admitted they couldn’t find a tank for their +7 key, so they labeled it as a +10 to bait someone into joining.

After leaving the group, Hot_Minimum1912 was flooded with messages threatening to report them for key depletion, despite being the one misled in the first place.

Community Reactions

Some players on Reddit joked about flipping the script, having a high-rated group with a +10 key join a +2 dungeon, just to see how wild the reactions would be.
