If you’ve ever wanted to proudly (or sarcastically) display your country flag in WoW, or the approximation of it, now you might be able to!
The influx of different shoulder-cape options from the Trading Post has opened up some new transmog possibilities. Chancu set up some pretty great ones, and reminded those that needed it that you can transmog your shoulders separately.
Separate Shoulders and the Potential
If you’re among those that didn’t know, there’s a ticker at any transmogrifier that allows separate shoulder looks. That’ll give you the option to mix and match shoulder capes with any cloaks you’ve acquired. Don’t worry, there’s no shame in forgetting or not knowing. And you’re certainly not alone, as evidenced by plenty of player comments.
- It never occurred to me to mix and match the shoulder capes
- It’s ok I just found this out a couple weeks ago lolol
- Thanks OP for reminding me that I still forget you can transmog shoulders independently now (this thread in particular has more than a few people that forgot or just didn’t know)
You can also grab four different colored shoulder capes at the Trading Post for 75 Trader’s Tender each this month to start your collection, if you haven’t already. They’re available to purchase for the next 25 days.
On the sad side, you can’t really let your creativity fly if you don’t have a big collection. It’s also not really possible to recreate more complex flags. And as is usual with these kinds of things, plenty of comments are joking about the potential political implications of bright capes.
- This will cause absolutely normal, civil, and respectful discussion and in-game comradery.
- I see no possible way in which this could be abused at all. Carry on!
- I’m genuinely surprised not to discover political debates in comment section
It just might be best to follow the advice of the two wise men of this Reddit thread if you decide to apply your country colors to WoW. Or just use one shoulder cape, for that extra dose of dashing on your character.
