Ah, the joys of Plunderstorm! Being fired from a cannon, crash-landing a parrot, and then proceeding to punch it out in a 60-player WoW battle royale while a storm consistently shrinks the playing field is a pure adrenaline rush. But some people take being an unruly pirate a bit differently. Take Jolkster for example, a peaceful pirate who won a match by hiding, and without killing anyone. Talk about a pacifist pirate.
A Gandhi Pirate
The community was quick to compare Jolkster to Gandhi. There were also some well-known but nevertheless always welcome references to the infamous Gandhi from the Civilization series – not a pacifist one at all.
A probably obligatory Sun Tzu and the Art of War reference also reared its head. And a few players also chimed in and mentioned winning in a similar way.
RoxLOLZ wins the award for the most upvoted comment though, and let’s face it, a pretty accurate description of Jolkster’s win. It’s a reference to a viral Vinland Saga quote or a famous Oscar Wilde saying. Congrats to Jolkster either way! And did you understand the reference?
