Are we getting a profession knowledge respec in the upcoming patch?
In today’s 11.0.7 PTR development notes Blizzard mentioned that such a feature is coming. The feature wasn’t exactly announced, but rather referenced in another update. When talking about tuning for the Multicraft and Resourcefulness stats, Blizzard mentioned that they are paired with “the release of the specialization respec option”.
We’re not quite sure if this addition was just skipped in the notes themselves, or if it wasn’t ready to be announced yet but it slipped out. Or perhaps it is referring to something entirely different. Although it’s not really clear what else it could be with that specific wording. The feature also isn’t anywhere to be seen on the PTR itself currently.

- Pairing with the release of the specialization respec option, we are deploying some balance changes to several profession stats to bring them closer together in value.
- Multicraft – Average number of extra items created via a Multicraft crit reduced by 30%.
- Resourcefulness – Average percent of reagents returned on a Resourcefulness crit increased by 50%
We’ll have to wait and see whether Blizzard confirm this and what exactly the details of it will be. Perhaps we’ll have to use Artisan’s Acuity to reset our knowledge, or it will be as simple as a gold cost.
