Puzzling Cartel Chips Explained: New Raid Tokens Coming in Patch 11.1.5

Staff's Avatar by Staff

Blizzard is adding a new type of raid currency in Patch 11.1.5 called Puzzling Cartel Chip iconPuzzling Cartel Chips. These chips will help players catch up on gear and give direct access to specific raid loot!

Originally, the chips (also called dinars) were tied to the Gallagio Royalty Rewards Club as rewards at Renown levels 17 and 19. However, Blizzard decided to remove the reputation requirement and instead make them available to everyone at the same time in Patch 11.1.5.

What Are Puzzling Cartel Chips Used For?

Players can exchange these chips for specific items from the Liberation of Undermine raid. Whether you’re chasing Best-in-Slots iconBest-in-Slots or the Eye of Kezan iconEye of Kezan trinket, these chips let you choose your reward directly from Ando the Great in the Liberation of Undermine raid.

The dinar system offers a way to skip the randomness of raid drops and work towards guaranteed upgrades, especially useful for players who haven’t been lucky with loot.

How Many Chips Can You Get?

At the moment, Puzzling Cartel Chip iconPuzzling Cartel Chips do not seem to have a cap. Blizzard has not yet confirmed how players will obtain them, but WE DO KNOW all players will get them at the same time, without needing to grind Renown.

If we compare it to Dragonflight Season 4, players could potentially earn one dinar per week, with a stacking cap—so if you missed a week, you could still catch up later.

What’s Next?

More details are expected as we get closer to the release of Patch 11.1.5 on April 22.
