We are within the final weeks of this season and players are running their last few keys. They’re looking to either secure some quick loot and seasonal rewards or push their rating ambitions a bit further. In either case, it’s pushing the total number of runs up!
Total Runs Across All Dungeons
Overall week 22 saw 1% more runs than week 21. The biggest factor for such upticks later in the season are usually affix changes such as having Fortified instead of Tyrannical be the active affix for the keys below level 10. The rotating affixes can also make it less or more attractive to run a key. Xal’atath’s Bargain: Oblivion the week before is the worst performing affix of the season and also being replaced by a less chaotic and better manageable one.
For individual dungeons we see City of Threads (+ 7%) and the Stonevault (+ 6%) having gained in absolute numbers. This is clearly reflecting how much players tend to avoid these instances during Tyrannical weeks in low level keys. These bosses are rather punishing. The rest is showing smaller variations. Regarding in-time percentage, an increase of 1,4% from week to week once again shows the impact of affix combinations. City of Threads once again is gaining the most (+ 4,8 percentage points) while the rest reflects the overall change.
Split Across All Key Levels
The overall gain in runs from week to week is mostly seen in the key range for gilded crests (key level 7-11). People either secured some rating towards KSM, farmed crests for upgrades or got the last few portals checked off of the list. Furthermore a slight increase in activity around the 0,1% title rating breakpoints (3.4k to 3.5k rating) can be observed. This would be key level runs at 17 and 18.
The Final Reset
As of the writing of this article (50 hours after US reset), the last ID is showing a clear drop-off in activity. Comparing hourly data from both weeks we see -12% for US servers and -16% for EU. The in-time percentage is on the upswing at 84,6%. It seems the combination of Xal’atath’s Bargain: Devour, Tyrannical, and Fortified is a decent end for this first season. We’ll see how it all plays out next week!
