Tank Leaves Heroic Immediately After Player Opens Herbalism Shortcut: I Don’t Go That Way

Here’s a meme-worthy tank privilege post if ever there was one, and this isn’t even Mythic+!

Now first of all, tanks get a really bad rap sometimes as some of them are very touchy and… shall we say, particular. However, tanking is absolutely the most stressful role in WoW and the criticism is constant and coming in from all sides. But that’s Mythic+, and nothing can really excuse this level of tank Karen. Tankren? Karank?

So On-Point It May Be Fake

Honestly this is one of those where we need to think really hard if the conversation could have been faked. It’s just too perfect an example of the high and mighty tank taking groups and instant queues for granted and behaving like a child. There’s also the fact that the tank’s name starts with K, so the suspicion level is very high. But we went with it anyway, because it’s too funny not to.

“It Appeared Others Wanted to Be the Tank”

A group went into Mists of Tirna Scithe Heroic and at the very start of the instance there was an issue. Auramaru, who posted the exchange to reddit, opened up the herbalism shortcut in the dungeon. Shadowlands dungeons feature many small additions like this for professions and Covenants that could unlock buffs and different paths through the dungeon.

Now, if you’re unfamiliar with Mists, you’d think that opening the shortcut sealed off the normal path, based on the reaction below. That’s not the case and it seems the tank was offended by the mere thought of someone else even suggesting an alternate path.

Have you ever run into this level of privilege/childishness? Obviously it’s much more prevalent in Mythic+, but it seems it’s spreading to regular dungeons as well!
