The Garrison Gets Some Pretty Funny (and Irritating) Bugs in 11.1

As we all know, every patch brings its fair share of bugs. We’ve already seen a fair share of this with 11.1, but this one is one of those that are not only very irrelevant to the current patch, but also pretty damn funny. Sort of your classic Bethesda bug.

Garrison’s Buged

Fast-Fan-7989 stumbled upon this bug while farming transmogs. When entering the Garrison from outside, two things happen:

  1. Half of the terrain loads – but your buildings don’t. Meanwhile, your NPCs stand knee-deep in invisible terrain like they’ve just accepted their fate.
  2. Missing letters in nameplates – which makes the game look like it suddenly forgot how to spell.

It’s a weird mix of eerie and funny, as if your Garrison suddenly decided it wasn’t paid enough to function properly.

It Gets Worse…

Another Reddit user, Agreeable-Head-8922, shared an even more frustrating version of the bug. After unlocking their Garrison in Shadowmoon Valley, they went out to quest. But when they returned, their Garrison refused to render – forcing a disconnect. The only way to log back in? Switching to an alt and using Blizzard’s automated unstuck tool.

Now, every time they enter their Garrison, they either fall underground, get stuck, or DC on movement. The only escape? Hearthstone away and pretend it never happened.

How to Fix It?

Easy! Just relog, and your buildings will magically return. Maybe they just needed a little break after the patch – don’t we all? A Horde player shared a similar experience in their Garrison:

And of course, someone had the perfect mix of comedy and critique for Blizzard:

That last one is probably going to end up being at least a little right, as there’s plenty of bugs that have priority over 10-year-old content. So, if you’re heading to your Garrison for whatever reason, prepare for weirdness!
