It’s time to check on on spec popularity for the DPSers, as we do see the top ones drop down a little.
The Data
The data used in this article comes from Raider.IO, taking into account all Mythic+ runs across all levels of play. The data is focused on this past reset and not on the season as a whole. Raider.IO also has some very useful tools, so we have some fancy graphs to check out!
The Most Popular DPS Specs in Mythic+
We see the two top specs drop some players, as Ret only loses 0.3%, while Unholy gets hit a bit harder, down 0.7%. Balance also drops a small amount, but is now almost dead-even with the DK. The Hunters swap places, as Marksmanship comes out on top, gaining 1.3%! Demonology moves into 6th as Fire Mage drops quite a few spots, actually trailing both its counterparts.

And if you were wondering about the higher keys, Balance gets the best of Unholy in 2nd!
And going even further up, into 12+ territory, Retribution has a fight on its hands, as both Unholy and Balance are right on its tail.
Paladins aren’t going anywhere for a long while but at least we see them getting some competition as the season moves forward.
