It’s time for more dungeon data with Zmiecer! This week we have another look at the overall unique characters and Mythic+ runs for all seasons so far, as well as the usual peek at just how much people are playing Mythic+ right now, so let’s dive in!
The Weekly Chart
After the numbers remaining relatively steady last week and the bounce-back of the week before, we have a pretty standard drop this time around. There are around 200k fewer runs compared to the previous week (comparing Thursday to Thursday). This is around 150k more of a drop than last week, which is significant, and is also quite a bit more than the drop for Dragonflight Season 4.
However, this isn’t exactly unexpected for the sixth week of the season, not to mention the 20th Anniversary event dropped, and Mythic+ isn’t a part of those activities. You can see a relatively similar (but a lot bigger) drop in DF Season 4 in weeks 3 to 4, as that’s when Mists of Pandaria Remix dropped.

Previous Season Comparisons
The above comparison is, as always, to Dragonflight Season 4, considering it’s the only other season with the new Mythic+ structure we have today. Compared to DF Season 1, the total drop-off is much better here, as DF S1 started with around 1+ million more runs. Despite that much better start and the different systems (basically having 10+ fewer key levels to count runs in), The War Within’s first season is only 90k lower runs than Dragonflight’s this week. DF’s Season 3 was also hovering around its S1 numbers at this point, coming in at 1.7 million in week 6,and its Season 2 was around the same as 3.
You can check out older season numbers here.
Total Unique Characters and Mythic+ Runs Per Season
Zmiecer also had a look at the broader trend of all World of Warcraft Mythic+ seasons. First off we have the number of unique characters created each season, and The War Within is already in second place overall, only beaten by the insane Dragonflight Season 3. While we still have quite a few weeks to go in Season 1, it seems extremely unlikely TWW will catch up to DF S3, unless there’s some very special event coming up.

And then there’s the overall run numbers for all seasons. We’re back to the more unfair comparisons here, with the exception of DF S4, due to the new Mythic+ system and lower key spread available to run. Despite that, TWW S1 is looking to probably come in at around 5th by the time it’s over, which is massively impressive. We just need to take a look at DF S4 to see the only other season with the new system, and TWW is already beating it, with plenty of weeks to go.
So, have you been running Mythic+ more this season than before? Or did the Delves get you too?
