Season 2 brought a big nerf to the Fungal Folly and Mycomancer Cavern Delves. The spores you trigger that follow you and detonate no longer did damage to other enemies starting with patch 11.1. That just changed!
An Explosive Discovery
Patch 11.1.5 brought the boom back (well, more like splash), as players have noticed that the spores are back and indiscriminately blowing everything up!
Fungal Folly in particular was one of players’ favorites precisely because of the spores. They could speed the Delve up quite a bit and, let’s face it, it’s always fun detonating mobs by dragging spore mines to them. Not to mention the final boss!
Speaking of Spinshroom, he is still better off since Season 2, despite the return of the boom. Another change to the Delve with the new season saw the number of spores around him lowered, so he’ll still be trickier than he was in Season 1.
