The Weirdest Things That Fit Inside Players’ Bags

Staff's Avatar by Staff

Thibbledork over on Reddit had a Homer Simpson “huh” moment while thinking about perpetually cold milk and other contents of players’ bags. And they’re now wondering what the weirdest thing is that canonically fits into the magical Bags of Holding everyone carries around.

As expected, the comments are running rampant with the magical possibilities of stacking 6 backpacks on your back. And the weirdness of the items stored in them.

Another great magic storage explanation comes from AltharaD, in answer to Soeck666‘s question about herb numbers and stacking. We have to be thankful to the Consortium of Bag Makers for always being on the cutting edge of bag techology and security.

Plenty of corpses, with or without heads, have also found their way into many a player’s bag. You know, for quest completion confirmation. Definitely not for some other nefarious reasons.

One of the more obvious answers is, of course, gold, which isn’t even carried in the bags themselves. Fadjingo neatly breaks down the idea of carrying around so much of it. Then again, it could all be an Azerothian version of Bitcoin, stashed in its own portable black hole.

Pets, mounts, weird mementos, weapons, remnants of bosses (like the Eye of C’thun, and several dragon heads), and parts for an entire ship, are just some of the many items players easily toss into their bags.

And JaseAndrews has the final words of wisdom for any future “huh” moments anyone might encounter while browsing the contents of their bags. Sometimes it’s just better to accept “The Because”.
