Tier 2 and Rank 13 PTR Gold Vendor On Live Season of Discovery AQ Raid Release and Very Easy Raid Bosses From the Wrong Version

It seems today’s Ahn’Qiraj raid release was quite a mess! There were a couple of very large oversights resulting in some extreme tier set purchases for gold, as well as some very easy boss kills!

Buy Some Tier 2 and PvP Rank 13 Sets for Gold!

The Public Test Realm vendor offers tier gear to players so they can easily gear up and better test encounters. However, it seems that someone forgot to remove the NPC when the raids went live. Unsurprisingly, players caught wind of it and bought quite a few of the items it seems.

The NPC was quickly removed, some 20 minutes after it appeared, but plenty already got their very cheap tier gear. Not only that, but the Auction House was suddenly flooded with Nexus Crystals. Players were quick to disenchant a whole lot of epics!

Blizzard seem to have since posted server messages stating that the items will be rolled back. The also clarified that there’s no point in enchanting them, and warning against selling your old gear that you’d replace with them.

Players are already plotting ways around this rollback. So hopefully Blizzard are reading the comments in the thread and will be ready for those “enterprising” ones that try to exploit the system.

Easy Raid Bosses

Speaking of very easy loot, it seems there was another source leaking into Season of Discovery! While the tier set vendor poked in from the PTR, the raid bosses seem to have arrived from the base Classic version! It also seems that this is what caused the PTR set vendor to appear, as Blizzard reset the servers to fix the wrong boss versions. They reverted them to the PTR SoD versions, but likely forgot to remove the NPC from it. The Temple and Ruins of Ahn’Qiraj bosses were dying basically instantly as the many rune abilities and gear from SoD was much too powerful for the base Classic Era HP numbers.

So, a pretty rocky start to the raid part of Phase 6. Hopefully Blizzard can properly roll back everything and be watchful enough so that no shenanigans end up bringing these tier and PvP items back later on.
