Discover the New Location of the Great Vault in the War Within

The Great Vault has a new home in the War Within expansion, now located in Dornogal, specifically in an area called Council’s Treasury.

You’ll find it just behind the bankers, making it easy to access for your weekly rewards. To locate it quickly, simply open the Dornogal map (M) and look for the Great Vault icon.

What’s New with the Great Vault in War Within?

Significant changes have come to the Great Vault with the War Within expansion. The PvP tab is now a thing of the past, replaced by a new World tab that includes Delves and World Events. However, the Raids and Dungeons tabs remain unchanged.

How to Unlock Rewards in the Great Vault’s New Tab?

To unlock rewards in the World tab during Season 1, you need to complete the following:

  • 3 Delves or World Activities
  • 6 Delves or World Activities
  • 12 Delves or World Activities

World activities, such as the Theater Troupe in the Isle of Dorn and Awakening the Machine in the Ringing Deeps, will contribute to your Great Vault progress. Remember, these activities count as Tier 1 Delves, so completing higher-tier Delves is crucial for securing top-tier rewards.

Great Vault Loot: What Can You Get from Delves?

During Early Access, only Tiers 1-3 Delves will be available, with higher tiers unlocking on on September 10 with Season 1. The item level of rewards increases with the delve tier:

  • Tier 1-2 provide 584 Veteran 1/8 gear.
  • Tier 3 provides 587 Veteran 2/8 gear.
  • Tier 4 provides 597 Champion 1/8 gear.
  • Tier 5 provides 603 Champion 3/8 gear.
  • Tier 7 provides 609 Hero 1/6 gear.
  • Tier 8+ provides 616 Hero 3/6 gear.

Tiers 9-11 offer no better gear, but completing them grants bragging rights and unique cosmetics.

Mythic+ Rewards in Season 1: What’s in the Great Vault?

Starting September 10, the Great Vault will offer the following item levels based on your Mythic+ performance:

  • M+0: ilvl 593 Veteran 4/8 gear.
  • M+1: ilvl 603 Champion 3/8 gear.
  • M+2: ilvl 606 Champion 4/8 gear.
  • M+3: ilvl 610 Hero 1/6 gear.
  • M+4: ilvl 610 Hero 1/6 gear.
  • M+5: ilvl 613 Hero 2/6 gear.
  • M+6: ilvl 613 Hero 2/6 gear.
  • M+7: ivl 616 Hero 3/6 gear.
  • M+8 ilvl 619 Hero 4/6 gear.
  • M+9: ilvl 619 Hero 4/6 gear.
  • M+10: ilvl 623 Mythic 1/6 gear — Myth upgrade track has 6 ranks in the coming season.

When Can You First Open the Great Vault?

You can open the Great Vault and receive your first piece of loot after the weekly maintenance on August 28 in North America and August 29 in Europe.
