War Within Nerub-ar Palace Raid DPS Log Rankings, Week 1: Fury’s Temporary Win, Get Enhancement Stocks!

Staff's Avatar by Staff

We finally get to take a look at some more significant data for the raid! Week 1 is behind us, with Mythic and the Race to World First ahead tomorrow. There are plenty of changes here since day 1, and we’ll dive into the hotfix changes as well. So, let’s see what the specs have been up to since our day 1 peek!

Don’t forget: this week’s reset brings major class tuning changes, which will affect the rankings below. Also, Heroic is the main focus this time around, as Normal was at the start of the week.

Note: We are using Normalized scores instead of raw DPS for the Warcraft Logs rankings. Normalized scores take into account the outlier boss fights where certain specs could stack massive DPS (due to the nature of the fight, whether it’s AoE spam or something else), which would then affect their overall score for the whole raid.

Heroic

Heroic Overall Damage 95th Percentile

Fury is riding that first week high and then some, destroying all other specs by a pretty wide margin. The biggest change we see since day 1 is Enhancement taking over, moving into 2nd and pushing Arcane down. This is particularly interesting since both Fury and Arcane are grabbing solid nerfs with this week’s tuning. This makes Enhancement a prime candidate for that top spot, with not a lot of competition!

Outlaw and Retribution are sticking together, and are both getting nerfed as well, with the Rogue taking the bigger hit. Arms is getting a slight nerf, which means 5 of the top 6 specs are going down! So get your Enhancement stocks now! Subtlety is also set to rise, as it’s getting out of the tuning pass clean. Windwalker behind it isn’t that lucky, as it’s catching a nerf. BM sits in 9th and is also untouched, just ahead of Frost DK which is in the same boat. So we should be seeing both of them quite a lot higher next week! The bottom 3 confirms this is not Fire’s tier, as it’s still dead last and not getting any changes. Meanwhile, Augmentation may still be suffering from incorrect logging. Balance is actually getting buffed quite a bit, so it won’t be down in the dumps for much longer.

Overall Damage All Percentiles

Fury is dominating here as well, with Arcane managing to fend off Enhancement. Outlaw, Ret and Arms are in the same positions as the top percentiles, with Windwalker doing quite a bit better here in the generalist bracket. Survival makes an appearance in 8th, just ahead of Affliction, with Subtlety relegated down to the end of the top 10. The bottom 3 sees the same specs in it, just swapped around, as Aug makes the very bottom, and Fire becomes the best of the worst!

Boss Only Damage All Percentiles

Arcane is sitting pretty at the top (at least for now), but we see both BM and Enhancement rise up since day 1! And with the Shaman actually getting a solid buff this week, we could be seeing it on top soon. Arms and Affliction reprise their spots from earlier in the week, as all the Rogues line up and make a nice yellow block.

Normal Overall Damage All Percentiles

Normal was our primary focus at the start of the week, but now that there’s a bit more data it’s been relegated to the bottom here! Subtlety is moving on up and is set to take over when you factor in the nerfs, with Affliction looking pretty promising for a No.2 spot. Enhancement may just overtake both of them, as it’s actually getting buffed as opposed to those two specs, which will be remaining the same. The bottom 3 sees a new face in Destruction, but it’s also getting buffed, so the Warlock should be out of there soon.
